In the new film The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.
The movie stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Liev Schreiber, Maika Monroe.
The action-adventure film is directed by J. Blakeson, with a screenplay by Susannah Grant, based on the book by Rick Yancey. The producers are Tobey Maguire, Graham King, Lynn Harris, and Matthew Plouffe. Denis O’Sullivan and Richard Middleton are the executive producers.
The video game that I love to play just to smash and have a laugh will be hitting the big screen early in 2015. Ratchet and Clank have been smashing up stuff since they were first introduced in 2002.
The movie is to be produced by Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment. Done right this movie could be a family friendly movie that all could enjoy.
In a interview with EDGE Sony World Studios vice president Micheal Denny talks about the lessons learned from the difficult launch of the PS3.
He also talks about the PlayStation 4 origin. How Sony’s PS3 difficult launch would influence the launch of the PS4 and how the stakes are for the PS4 and Sony as a company.
Quoting from the interview:
“I think the starting point is you go back to when we launched PlayStation 3 and I think it’s fair to say that the landscape in terms of gaming has totally changed since those days. It’s so much more competitive but it’s so much more proliferated in terms of the amount of people who are gaming and the amount of devices they are gaming on. And in a way we have to see that as an opportunity. I think as we’ve said we’re going to be very focused on gamers and gaming and offer an experience that is differentiated, that is high-end, but in doing that we have to embrace where gaming’s gone. And that’s why we have to embrace lots of ideas such as integration, that we are integrating into many other areas of gamer’s lives, casual gamers and gaming-on-the-go as well.”
I have read that the new console will have a Blu-ray drive. But will the drive be on future models? More and more games are being available for download with special offers. In a article at Forbes, Shuhei Yoshida talks on how Sony plans to move more and more to the digital side. This is not good news for company’s like GameStop, EB Games and us the consumer that buy used games to save a few bucks. That being said will that not stop gamers from buying the new console? Nay.
PlayStation 4 release date 4Q of 2013(that be Christmas)
