Welcome once again to The Music Store and I think you going to love this one. You can find Rock all over the world and sometimes we forget that other country’s and cultures love the medium just as much as us in the western world. So here is example of it from a group in Japan.
One Ok Rock is a Japanese rock band that was formed in 2005. The band is composed of Take, Toru, Ryota and Tomoya. The group is alternative rock band. They presently have 6 albums out and if you wish to find out more about the band at their official site, oneokrock.com.
I found this band just by looking on YouTube for Japaneses rock bands. Boy was I fucking surprise. Great song. Clock Strikes is a mix of Japanese and English and the band pulls of the mix excellently.
So please take a moment and have a listen.
So this little action packed Japanese Doctor Who that has to look of a show from the 70’s or 80’s. Even with the start looking like the start of a old video tape being started you can see that this was made to look old. Take a look at the Sonic Screw Driver. The one part looks like something made in the last few years. But really does it matter. It is as fun to watch as well as being so bad.
Hey Poppers and welcome back to Movie Monday.
One of the things I love about the net and YouTube is finding gems in the sand of the internet beach.
PostHuman is one of those. Directed by Cole Drumb. Produced by Jennifer Wai-Yin Luk and starring the voice of Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica). Production company: Colliculi Productions
Animation studio: Humouring The Fates
“Set in an adrenalized future of espionage, assassins, and out of control super science, PostHuman follows a genius hacker and his dog as they help an enigmatic young woman to free the remaining test subject of a black ops ESP test lab.”
from the YouTube page.
If you watch any Japanese anime you will recognize the style right away. This short is well crafted and beautiful. I got more involved in this short piece that most of the movies I saw this summer. The short has won many awards and it is well deserved.
So sit back and enjoy. If you like this short film hit it up with a like on YouTube.
