Netflix – Lemony Snicket’s A Serious of Unfortunate Events Trailer 2

Netflix release a second trailer for the upcoming series Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Check out the trailer below.  This looks like a fun time and just it looks from the clip that Neil Patrick Harris is having a fun time playing Count Olaf. The series premieres January 13, 2017 on Netflix around the world.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events chronicles the turbulent lives of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire after their parents’ untimely death in a fire. A careless oversight initially places the children in the custody of a distant relative named Count Olaf, a mysterious and devious figure who is seeking fortune by way of stealing their inheritance. After his elaborate plans are foiled and his evil intentions are revealed, Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) employs a variety of outlandish disguises to situate himself in the children’s path, causing mayhem for the Baudelaire’s and their subsequent guardians.  As the children manage to evade Count Olaf’s scheming attempts to steal their fortune, they pick up clues along the way about their parents’ past. The series is created by Daniel Handler (author of the Lemony Snicket series of books) and executive produced by Handler and Emmy winner Barry Sonnenfeld (Pushing Daisies, Men in Black, The Addams Family). Along with Harris, the series also stars Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Malina Weissman (Violet), Louis Hynes (Klaus), Presley Smith (Sunny), Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Alfre Woodard (Aunt Josephine), Catherine O’Hara (Dr. Orwell), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Poe), Aasif Maandvi (Uncle Monty), Don Johnson (Sir) and more.

BoJack Horseman S3 Trailer

The wait is over folks. Season 3 of Bojack Horseman is back and premieres on July 22 on Netflix US and Canada

This season BoJack is grappling with his legacy while trudging through an increasingly turbulent Oscar campaign for his star-making turn in the Secretariat biopic. BoJack struggles with how he’ll ultimately be remembered by his fans and what lasting impact he’s made on those closest to him. Also, there are lots of silly puns and talking animal jokes and celebrity cameos and all the other stuff that everybody loves about BoJack Horseman. It’s a very funny and good season of television. Don’t worry.

Arrow, Catching Up, and General-ness…

Hey Poppers,

I couldn’t think of a featured image, I just read what I wrote, the part down there, that you haven’t read yet, unless you skipped ahead, but I bet you didn’t, I trust you. Anyway, that picture of 3PO and R2 in a Tim Burton movie about bad dreams before Jesus’s birthday was the best I could come up with. So good luck, and enjoy, but mostly good luck. The Batman vs Superman trailer!!

Wow, I have been so busy lately I have not been able to blog, but here I am so let’s jump right in. I got Instagram, it’s okay. And I changed my name on twitter to batteryrunheart. Because my heart is literally run by a battery. No joke, I have a pacemaker, it’s one step down from an arc reactor. No big. Also I am now a registered apprentice, becoming a Parts Technician. It’s a three year program, but I have set myself up to have my ticket by next summer. And yes, apprentice like in Star Wars, again no big.

power

So, also I got my wife rather pregnant, so yeah. We can now move onto four person cosplays. Yes, that is where my mind immediately goes.

arrow starwars

Also, Whovians, if you want an idea of how overwhelming it is to find out you will be a dad again, please see the below picture.

doctorgogh

Next I got bit by a spider! And I think it may have been radioactive.

spider bite

And lastly I have been working on my third and last book in the Fantom Fury trilogy. (cause the “tri” in “trilogy” means three, so my third, and therefore…. last….. book) So, there you have it my excuses for not being able to blog. (Please see radio style segway below… Remember I mentioned my books like one second ago?)

book

Yes, I met CAITY LOTZ!!!!! at EEK fest. She was super nice and she is so gorgeous. It was awesome to be face to face with Miss Sara Lance. And yes, that is a copy of my first book signed by her. It was so cool. Also I met someone else ladies and gents, he’s on the Arrow, not a huge part of the show, but certainly notable. (Please refer to picture below.)

stephen

HA! Gotcha!! It’s Stephen Amell! and he’s the main character. Get it? It was a joke when I said that he wasn’t a huge part of the show. Cause he is! Get it? Anyway, yeah I totally met him in a bathroom. Dressed as the Arrow. It was the coolest thing ever. He was really nice and I told him he was a big fan. And at his panel I asked him if he was going to use his island wig to playing Casey Jones. If you don’t know of the island wig on Arrow, it’s worth a quick google search. If you don’t know who Casey Jones is why are you reading this, seriously all the references must be going over your head. Star Wars, and yes I made that Star Wars picture in paint, Arrow,  Doctor Who, Spiderman. I mean if you’ve made it this far and didn’t get at least eighty percent of the references I applaud you, seriously. Nice job dude. And yes I call guys and girls both dude. Just so you know I wasn’t leaving anyone out. Anyway, what was I going to say? Oh yeah, even if you get every reference and you are still reading, thank you. I just go, I literally type whatever is in my head, I’m hungry, and hit publish. And if you are willing to use your precious time reading that, well that, well it just warms my heart. Thanks guys! Anyway, as we all know it has been nerd overload lately. The Batman vs Superman trailer. Oh man! I am so stoked!!!!!! Seriously it has been playing on repeat in my head since I watched it. What else, Suicide Squad, Batman vs Superman, Deadpool, um what else, oh yeah, Batman vs Superman. X Men, Batman vs Superman is worth mentioning, Star Wars is coming up, that Batman vs Superman trailer was really good. Ant-Man will be out soon, maybe they’ll play that Batman vs Superman trailer during the pre-show. I saw Terminator which I loved. The Batman vs Superman trailer. Oh! Arrow started filming. BvS. Flash is gonna be on Season Two. Dawn of Justice. Legends of Tomorrow which looks so cool, and I love that they are using Rory to travel through time. I mean what a cool thing to do, and yes I called him Rory. Because to me that’s who he is. Rory, Amy, Doctor. I guess now it’s Rip, Nebula and Skynet. Sniffle. They grow up so fast!!! Yeah, so it has been an overload, which I can handle. I mean I got that spider bite and I have a one-step-down-from-an-arc-reactor-pacemaker. Sorry for any spoilers. And sorry I mentioned that trailer, (Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice) so many times, it’s just that, how can I put this,

IT’S A FUCKING BATMAN VS SUPERMAN TRAILER!!!!!!!!

Anyway, back to meeting Stephen and Caity, yeah, we’re on a first name basis, no big. They were so awesome and down to earth. No, noses in the air, no one was below them. They were both so nice, and so cool, and you know what? Whoever said don’t meet your heroes can go poop their pants!

Anyway, it’s been a slice, hit me up on IG and twitter, I follow back and I’m not quite as crazy, 140 characters and 1000 words, get it? cause a picture is worth a thousand words, and on Instagram you post pictures. Anyway, I’m allowed to make terrible jokes, I’m a dad. Puns, just for funs.

Bye bye

Oh yeah I couldn’t find a way to fit this in, but it’s so awesome so here:

K seriously bye.

Comic Review: Lesbian Zombies From Outerspace

Screen Shot 2015-05-18 at 9.13.45 AMLesbian Zombies From Outerspace #1 of 7

Publisher: Big Things Production

Writer: Jave Galt-Miller

Artist: Wayne A. Brown

Color: Raymond “Monds” Agustin

Letterer: Shawn Depasquale

The Zombie craze has been going on for a few years and people are trying to come up with a different take on the genre. Here is one that is out of left field.

Lesbian Zombies from Outerspace is that different take. Taking two things that guys love (also some woman) Jave Galt-Miller has mixed these two things into a humorous story that gives the reader a feel of a 1950’s drive in movie. You really have to not take this book seriously. It is meant to be a fun ride. The dialogue is adult with some nudity but nothing explicit.

Ace the lead in our story works in a video store that is going out of business. Ace is more concerned with watching the porn then working.  On this day Ace gets a call from his best friend saying that he has finally talk his girlfriend into a 3-way.  The story then moves onto a couple of lesbian out in a field playing when a meteoroid crashes to earth. They of course have to investigate and find a woman in the crater.

Ace has convince this friend, Ellis to let him film that 3-way and from here is when the zombie part of the book really starts.  Lets just say if you are a man hang on to your sausage.

The zombie event here from a out side threat then one created by man. The woman are not dead but transformed into man eaters. Maybe feminism gone extreme?

Jave writes a very easy to read story here. The dialogue at times feels real then jumps to the B-movie feel.  The art my Wayne A. Brown is sometimes a little clunky but also spot on as in the panel where Ace is begging his friend Ellis to let him video tape the action.  How many of use would do that? I don’t what to give to much away of this book. If I did then no reason for you to read it , right?

Overall I did have fun reading this book. To me that is a big plus. So many books today are to serious and we need a book to be just fun to read.

So in the end I give Lesbian Zombies from Outerspace 3.75 pops out of 5.

You can purchase this book on Comixology, Also go to www.lesbianzombies.com. Also is you want there is a R-Rated variant cover at Ebay.

Comic Review: Hollywood Zombie Apocalypse

Screen Shot 2014-10-30 at 8.38.42 PM Hollywood Zombie Apocalypse

Published by Zenescope Entertainment

Story byRalph Tedesco, Joe Brusha

Art by David Lorenzo Riveiro

Colors by Jorge Alberto Cortes

Letters by Jim Campbell

So what happens when the zombie apocalypse hits La La land. Well you get a bunch of self absorbed Hollywood actors that can not tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Remember the movie This Is The End that was about a group of actors and the end of the world. This book takes that same premise and adds those lovable flesh eating machines, Zombies.

Hollywood Zombie Apocalypse is a fun and humorous look at some of your favorite Hollywood actors and shows you how they would react or in some cases die in a real Zombie Apocalypse. The story centers around Michael May an actor that gets his big break in a new superhero blockbuster along with some A list actors. Some of these actors you will know right away because artist David Lorenzo Riveiro does a great job of capturing their likeness. My favorite part of the book is when a snot nose little pop star is eaten by a group of Zombies. That scene in the book made me smile with joy. Micheal along with his laze about, pot smoking best friend end up the leaders of this group of costume wearing out of touched actors.

Hollywood Zombie Apocalypse is book one of a two part mini-series. I am looking forward to reading part 2 when it comes out. If you looking for a book to make you giggle. A change from the long list of books that takes themselves to serious then read this book. It is a nice switch and it will at least make you smile.

I give this book a 3 out of 5 pops.

Night Of The Living Deadpool: Review

Screenshot 2014-01-21 19.11.48  Night Of The Living Deadpool #1

Writer: Cullen Bunn

Artist: Ramon Rosanas

Letterer: VC’s Joe Sadino

Cover Artist: Jay Shaw

So if you know that it seems that zombies are popping out everywhere these days. Movies, TV, books, art, tattoos, hell I would not be surprise if you end up finding them on babies diapers soon.

Marvel is at it again with another adventure in the zombie world but this time with a single hero and not the whole Marvel universe. Everyone’s favorite merch with a mouth, Deadpool is the hero, oh god. Deadpool has been dancing around the Marvel universe from book to book like a new social disease. But a lovable social disease much like Wolverine.

After waking up from a food coma Deadpool finds himself alone in a restaurant. Everyone has gone, leaving the restaurant Deadpool finds a note saying that everyone has fled, leaving him locked inside for his protection. Deadpool enters the street and finds that everyone…everyone is gone. Looking back he did see the signs but was in his own world and did not noticed. Eventually Deadpool meets his first zombie and the fun begins.

KinkyDeadpoolLike any good Deadpool comic there is humor and we get it here. Not laugh out loud but a nice snicker here and their. The book is done in black and white and works.  The use of black and white pages of splashing blood gives it a nice effect The only color in the book is Deadpool and in flash backs. I like the effect and it is a nice touch giving it the look of the 1968’s  “Night Of The Living Dead”. Another interesting idea was giving the zombie the ability to speak but only the residual memories of their last thoughts before their death.

The same effect was used in a Doctor Who episode “Silence In The Library”. I have to think that writer Cullen Bunn maybe a fan. Cullen Bunn story is simple and a nice relaxing read and not a strain. Maybe over the next few books things may pick up some more speed. He does throw in bits of humor here and there but not the zany Deadpool that some of us have come to love.

The art work of Ramon Rosanas is major league stuff and enjoyable. Ramon art work is just another example of some of the amazing art work that is available in the comic world. I will keep a eye out for more of his work.

Overall the book is entertaining and worth the price.

So in the end I give “Night Of The Living Deadpool” a 3 3/4 pop out of 5.
