According to an article from Bleeding Cool, DC will not be reprinting Batman: Damned #1. If you have not heard where hell have you been? Batman: Damned #1 is now famous for a shadowy but of so clear pictures of Batman’s dick. The comic will not be reprinted at all.
The Joker is dead.
There is no doubt about that. But whether Batman finally snapped his scrawny neck or some other sinister force in Gotham City did the deed is still a mystery.
Problem is, Batman can’t remember…and the more he digs into this labyrinthian case, the more his mind starts to doubt everything he’s uncovering.
So who better to set him straight than…John Constantine? Problem with that is as much as John loves a good mystery, he loves messing with people’s heads even more. So with John’s “help,” the pair will delve into the sordid underbelly of Gotham as they race toward the mind-blowing truth of who murdered The Joker.
So if you were not one of the lucky few ( I got one bitches) it is going to cost you now. If you do have one it be highly recommend that you take that sucker and board and bag it, DO NOT READ. Go to ComixoIogy and get the digital one. Keep that sucker in the best condition as possible.
You can find the book selling on Ebay between 400 to 1000 US at the moment. The news that DC will not be reprinting at all will cause the books value to go up. Print runs on books nowadays are nothing like they were like at the time of the 90’s. Finding this book at a good value will be hard.
Also Batman: Damned #2 will be shipping late. It has moved form November 21st to December 5th. Batman: Damned #3 will be a whole two months behind, coming out March 13th 2109.
DC collectibles show off the first of the new Dark Night: Metal Batman series. The first in the line is comes the twisted but awesome “The Dawnbreaker”. The statue brings a dark and twisted hybrid of Batman and Green Lantern. Sculpted by Adrienne Smith.
I have to say that this is a beautiful looking piece. I have started to collect more statues especially since PVC is being used. The detail on some of this figures look amazing. Plus sell at a reasonable price of 65 Canadian and 50 U.S.
Variety is reporting that Ben Affleck has decided to step away from the director’s chair. Affleck will stay on as producer and star but now the hunt is on for a new directer.
Sources that are close to the Affleck and Warner Bros., said that it was a decision made by both parties.
“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions,” Affleck said in a statement. “Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
Is this another bad omen for Warner Bro., and DC. Awhile ago a story was leaked (true or false) that the script was bad but executives at Warner Bros did care as long as it made money over seas. That may have changed with Affleck and Geoff Johns have wrote a script for the solo “Batman” movie.
I for one will wait and see.
How about you. Is Affleck leaving the directors chair good or bad for the film.
If you look closely at the blurry image above you will see that beside the large R are the words, Some Disturbing Violence. Interesting is it not?
DC has success with R-rated material especially with the commercial success of the Killing Joke that they will attempt it again. This time around with Justice League Dark. The interesting part for me personally is that Matt Ryan the actor from the TV series Constantine is providing the voice for Constantine in the film. Jason O’Mara will return to voice Batman, Tomb Raider mo-cap actress Camilla Luddington will voice Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro will voice Deadman, Ray Chase will voice Jason Blood/Etrigan, Jerry O’Connell will return to voice Superman, and Rosario Dawson will return as the voice Wonder Woman.
DC animation does have a excellent track record with their animated films and I don’t expect that to change with this feature.
What do you think? Does DC have another hit on their hands?
