I found this video while I was looking for the latest Dr Who preview for the up coming season. This video is from a Red Nose Day 2011 and has Rowan Atkinson as the Doctor. Also Richard E Grant, Hugh Grant, Jonathan Pryce and Joanna Lumley. Check it out. It is good for a giggle.
Five Weapons is the story of a young boy, Tyler Shainline the son of a world class assassin sent to a special school that trains the next wave to assassins. The premise is interesting that there is a school specially designed to train group of hitman. Through Tyler’s eyes we are introduced to the school, teachers and the five skills that are taught. Knives, Staves, Archery, Exotic Weapons, and Guns. Everything a child need to learn to be a great killer, awww that is so sweet. Now I could go and tell you some of little bits of the story but I don’t want to. You need to go and get this book and read it yourself.
Jimmie Robinson, creator, writer, illustrator and letterer has created a interesting story that is well you money. There is a surprise at the end to the book that I was not dissatisfied with it at all. Unlike a certain book about a spider type man. Robinson art work has styles of Anime(a character with a bandage on her nose), North America influences with a hint of French. I am not sure about the French part but I think I see it? Though there a some serious business about to happen in the story it also has a light and humorous feeling to it. Just take a look at the art and you will see it.
So what I am saying here is go out and get this book. It is book 1 in a series of 5 and I am looking forward to getting the rest of the series. So get it and have some fun.

Another new entry into the Marvel Now univerise is Guardians Of The Galaxy. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Steve McNiven and inker John Dell. Rumors of a Guardians Of The Galaxy movie coming out in 2014 Marvel has decided to relaunch a Guardians comic. Issue 0.1 is the back story of the leader of the group, Peter Quill. Peter is the son of Spartax royalty and being royalty he becomes a target of his fathers enemy the Badoon. The splash page of this book looks like the opening credits of a sci-fi movie. After that the book is just a filler until the regular issues start to roll out. In some ways it reminds me of those filler episodes of TV shows that have those” remember what happen in early episodes” filler. Now I am not saying the book is bad, not at all. The story is interesting and the art work by Steve NcNiven is great. It was a good quick read before bed. But if you are looking at books to read and are not collecting then I say pass on this book. If your a collector and want to have the full set then by all means pick it this book up.
So all in all the book was enjoyable and fun to read. But I say wait until issue #1 to start.
