Based on the novel written by Charlie Human this short film is a proof of concept from Micheal Matthews.
Baxter Zevcenko’s life is pretty sweet. He’s making a name for himself as the kingpin of his smut-peddling high-school syndicate, the other gangs are staying out of his business, and he’s dating the girl of his dreams, Esme.
But when Esme gets kidnapped, things start to get seriously weird, and the only man drunk enough to help is a bearded, booze-soaked, supernatural bounty hunter that goes by the name of Jackson ‘Jackie’ Ronin.
Plunged into the increasingly bizarre landscape of Cape Town’s supernatural underworld, Baxter and Ronin team up to save Esme. On a journey that takes them through the realms of impossibility, they must face every conceivable nightmare to get her back, including the odd brush with the Apocalypse.

Does this not look like a fucked up Ghostbuster with a fucked up Harry Potter thrown into the pot. Dam I loved this short. The latest I have about this short and going forward is from an article written by Andrew Liptak for The Verge on Aug 31, 2017
of Aug 31, 2017.
An Canadian company optioned the Charlie Human’s urban-fantasy novel with District 9 writer Terri Tatchell to adapt it for the screen. Click on the link for more info.
Dam does this not look interesting. Hell at least it be something different from the consent super-hero movies.
DESTINATION WEDDING reunites two of Hollywood’s most adored stars, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, as the socially awkward Frank and Lindsay.
When they meet on their way to a destination wedding, they soon discover they have a lot in common: they both hate the bride, the groom, the wedding, themselves, and most especially each other. As the weekend’s events continually force them together – and their cheerlessness immediately isolates them from the other guests – Frank and Lindsay find that if you verbally spar with someone long enough, anything can happen. When debate gives way to desire, they must decide which is stronger: their hearts or their common sense.

Today Marvel released what I hope is the final trailer for the upcoming Black Panther movie. The reason I hope it is the last is simply to much is to much. I love this trailer and it is the right amount to get me excited about this movie.
The music really gets you pumped. We see flying ships, amazing new costumes and T’Challa trying to figure how to become King and leader. T’Challa also has to deal with the return of a old enemy, played by Micheal B. Jordon.
This trailer alone gets me pumped for this movie and for more to come. I have a feeling that we maybe seeing the new leader of The Avengers.

I asked a few people their thoughts on this trailer:
The Angry Ginger, @s7evendaysageek:
Epic might be over used…but Holy Shit! So much eye candy I’m
almost positive Willy Wonka directed it.
So there you are folks the last trailer (well that is what they are saying) before the December 15th release. Like you I am looking forward to seeing the next chapter. Also like you I am hoping that we will see a new path. A different direction and not rewrite of ‘Empire’. If have to realized that like the original series 4,5,6 there has to be some struggle. The heroes can not win ever battle. So like the other movies do not be surprised that this movie does not end on a happy not. To tell a good story it has to. But please remember that just because it may have that ark does it not mean it is a rewrite of Empire or Attack of the Clones.
Try and enjoy it.

The globe-spanning conflict between otherworldly monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines built to vanquish them was only a prelude to the all-out assault on humanity in Pacific Rim Uprising.
John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous “Kaiju.” Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through our cities and bring the world to its knees, he is given one last chance to live up to his father’s legacy by his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi)—who is leading a brave new generation of pilots that have grown up in the shadow of war. As they seek justice for the fallen, their only hope is to unite together in a global uprising against the forces of extinction.
Jake is joined by gifted rival pilot Lambert (The Fate of the Furious’ Scott Eastwood) and 15-year-old Jaeger hacker Amara (newcomer Cailee Spaeny), as the heroes of the PPDC become the only family he has left. Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

I found this show to be one of the best surprises of the last year. Fantastic casting, great storylines and acting got it the second season that it deserved.
Season 2 looks to be starting off with a bang(Bit clique, but a well done bang)as the gang appears to be meeting a new player in town, and a place near and dear to the heart becomes a place of murder.
I’ve heard in more than one interview now that this second season is going to be “more dark” and “more intense”, and while I enjoy the adult nature they have brought to a series I loved as a kid I hope they do keep lighter aspects of the series that gave it the adult, albeit wholesome feel that it had in the first season.
On a side note Camilla Mendes and Madelaine Petsch HAD been scheduled for the Edmonton Expo righthereinEdmontonAlbertaCananda!!!!!(Thanks Mick) but have since been taken off the schedule due to I assume scheduling conflicts with the show. That’s a shame .A real shame…..
Please take a look at the Season 2 trailer below.
