This was actually a pretty good trailer for what it was. Is that Lance Hendrickson narrating? I think if this is done correctly, and a little more on the mature side it should do very well. My understanding is that it’s going to be about Superman’s grandfather. The show runner is going to be a gent named Damian Kindler who at one point in time was at the helm of “Sleepy Hollow”.
There appears to be a TONNE of English(UK) actors in it .Can you seriously get a TV show even made in the U.S anymore without an English/Australian/Canadian cast? Do the locals not have the chops anymore? General Zods ancestry appears to also place a part in this story. The main thesis of it seems to the House of El trying to save their planet from doom while those around them remain oblivious to science and facts……..timely thing , this will be.
This is just a trailer for the pilot but I suspect this would not have been “Leaked” on- line if they did have some plans for a full 13+ episodes. Out sometime in 2017.Enjoy.
I’ve been looking forward to this series coming back for quite a while. Seeing Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller on Legends of Tomorrow made me realize that maybe their story wasn’t quite done yet.I don’t want to give too many spoilers away for anyone who has not seen the originals 4 seasons, but they made it very hard to bring the show back to life….deadly hard.
Some of initial grief I have heard about the first few episodes is that the show is too political. I don’t see that. I see trying to take a storyline about Prison Breaks and making it fresh. This crew has broken out of just about every construct on the face on this earth. Why not let them take a crack at one of the most hellish prisons in the world that happens to be in Yemen? Simply being American can make them a target.
It looks like the entire gang minus Willian Fichtner is back. It was so cool seeing Robert Knepper back as Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell. His deliciously evil character has evolved a bit in this new series but he still has that edge. I’m watching episode 3 tonight and so far I have been very entertained. Season 5 Trailer below.
This review is pretty cool for me as the series first season was not only shot in my home province of Nova Scotia, Canada but in my hometown in said province…and we’re off!!!:)
I had been hoping they would do a TV adaptation of this movie for years. The movie was based on a 1980 Novella by Stephen King. It was directed by acclaimed director Frank Darabont. If you watch The Walking dead you would probably recognize about half the cast from the movie as he directed the first season of TWD and brought a bunch of them along.
I loved the original movie. It had one of the most original shocking endings of any horror film I had seen, and I felt that they barely scratched the surface of the world that had come in with the mist. If you have seen the Cloverfield films you might understand a bit more of what I am speaking of. So much was left the table and I hope they can explore the world deeper in this new TV series.
The few hints I got from the trailer made me think they may be moving in a direction similar to 2008’s”The Happening” which featured mother nature taking aim at what it believed to be the biggest virus infecting the earth today……..us. I hope that is not the case because the original movie had some VERY cool looking monsters that I would like to see again. I also hope it does not go in the direction of “Under the Dome” as that rats stuck in a cage mentality can get tiresome after the first season.
I recognize a few of the actors. Vikings (highly recommended) lead Alyssa Sutherland(Princess Aslaug)plays a starring role as Eve Copeland. Noted local Nova Scotian comic and actor Bill Carr also has a sizable part. The scenery look stunning as it’s in my old stomping grounds and I’m biased as hell. Why that mist want to invade gods country?……, still biased as hell.
Season begins June 22nd 2017.Trailer below.
Still stoked it was shot in my hometown. Enjoy.
Hi Folks. This show for being as good as it is somehow slipped my mind in the last few months. After being pushed as far as the ladies could be pushed last season in a damning fictional expose on the “for profit” prison system in the United States, the season finale was left with a will she? or won’t she? gun to the head moment.
I’m not sure where they can go with this season cliffhanger. If the trigger is not pulled, there’s still a riot going on and life can always get more harsh for the ladies in their prison world. Prison guard “Piscatella” played brilliantly by actor Brad William Henke always seems to have a new layer of darkness to him.
One the things I love about this show is there is at least 8-10 subplots going on at any given time so this prison has a bit of a game of thrones vibe to it in its complexity of storyline and characters. If you’re looking for a well acted, intense(With a good dose of humour)show to start watching I’d commend this one.
Season 5 drops on Netflix on June 9th.First minute starts below.
This 8 episode series is a sequel to “The White Queen” a 2013 BBC produced series that adapted 3 of writer Philippa Gregorys previous novels. This new series is based on the 2013 novel of the same name. The series will be based around the marriage of Elizabeth of York and Henry VII and the drama and stryfe that came with that union.
Part of the reason I noticed this series, and want to watch at least the first episode of it was the inclusion of actress Michelle Fairley(Catelyn Stark, Game of Thrones). It may be a bit of a rehash of a previous role of hers……but it was a damn fine role. Starz usually puts forward pretty good period pieces, and Spartacus will always be among one of my favourite period pieces of all time, so I think this deserves a watch.
There are two trailers below. One giving a lay out of the series and the other examines the family trees involved. Something I wished to god had been introduced at the beginning of Game of thrones.Enjoy
Series Premiere is Apr.16th, 2017
I won’t lie, I was really hoping they would take a more serious tone with this trailer. Less GOTG, and more Shakespeare works much better for Thor. Thor was by no means the most popular of the comic characters when they did the first solo film. Kenneth Branagh brought a sense of regality to Thor(and Asgard in general) that helped make it so unique, and also one of my favourite marvel films to date.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a great franchise BUT it has a talking raccoon, so there is much room for levity and one liners.I felt like they took the dog and pony show from their trailers including neon 80’s graphics, 70’s and 80’s bands, and zippy one liners and placed them in here.To me it just doesn’t fit and feels very corporate rules(#34- if something works , replicate it and squeeze until all the money been released).
The trailer itself was not bad. Cate Blachett as Hela is perfect. Very happy she was picked for this role. The imagery in the first 30 seconds of what she does to Mjolnir is very cool and sets a good tone for the movie. Jeff Goldblum looks fantastic as the Grandmaster .I hope Idris Alba has a greater role in this movie ,as I have always liked the character of Heimdall and his star has risen quite a bit since the first movie in 2011.
The main take away from this trailer is of course “Gladiator” Hulk. Not sure how they plan on getting from point A to Point B with that, but hoping they leave that back story for another film as it seems like a lot of story to cram in with the main story of Ragnarok. After B vs S, I’m very wary of ambitious storylines like that. Marvel should give it a 3 hour run time if they want to go that far in.
Movie is in Theatres Nov.3rd
My first thought on this was Kate McKinnon and Scarlett Johansson is a R-rated comedy. I’m listening. Not sure I’d pay for this in the theatre but I did have a few good chuckles during the trailer. The basic jist of it is that a Male stripper ends up dead after being invited to entertain the ladies. Not the first time it’s happened I’m guessing, and it won’t be the last.
One stand out in the trailer was Jillian Bell who I don’t believe I have ever seen before. The “someone tell me what to do…and I will do it! “line gave me a full on chuckle. If all her material is as good as her shots in the trailer that would be worth the rental right there. Kate McKinnon never really had any zippy dialogue from the trailer, but I have to get that Ghostbuster taste out of my mouth so I’ll take anything from her right now that I can get.
In theatres June 16th…..I think….I’ll go back and look….might be right to pay per view. …nah I’m done here. Trailer is right here.
