Variety is reporting that Ben Affleck has decided to step away from the director’s chair. Affleck will stay on as producer and star but now the hunt is on for a new directer.
Sources that are close to the Affleck and Warner Bros., said that it was a decision made by both parties.
“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions,” Affleck said in a statement. “Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
Is this another bad omen for Warner Bro., and DC. Awhile ago a story was leaked (true or false) that the script was bad but executives at Warner Bros did care as long as it made money over seas. That may have changed with Affleck and Geoff Johns have wrote a script for the solo “Batman” movie.
I for one will wait and see.
How about you. Is Affleck leaving the directors chair good or bad for the film.
I did not grow up watching the Power Rangers when they came on TV. I was to old and to me I laughed at the stupid stories lines and the high quality(cough) Japanese villains. I should of like it growing up watching mostly Godzilla movies. The Power Rangers have now been updated for a new generation and for those that grew up watching. So expect the violence to be two fold. Today updated means more violence. Okay maybe cartoon violence but still…..Humans are so special.
I am sure if you grew up watching the Power Rangers this trailer and the movie will have you wetting your pants.
If you have not see or heard of this Russian super hero movie well where the hell have you been?
The film takes place during the Cold War. A secret organization named “Patriot” gathers a team of Soviet superheros, alter and augment their DNA of four individuals. The final clip I have here is duped in English but not as exciting as the original Russian. Also in this clip it shows what I assume is the were-bear gone full bear. The clip shows the more humor then earlier versions. I hoping that the film is released with English subtitles as I for one would be distracted by the bad English dubbing.
At times the CGI does look a little bad but if you look past this little distraction the movie looks like fun time.
The film was directed by Sarik Andreasyan and written by Andrey Gavrilov
My understanding via those scamps at TVLINE.com is that we’ll be seeing a darker Oracle when ARROW comes back around for the second half of the season. I’m actually looking forward to this. The character of Felicity Smoak is good for comic relief and has shown significant growth over the last 5 seasons, but I’m looking forward to seeing how actress Emily Bett Rickards is able to go to a few darker places that she may not have gone before.
(Mild Spoiler)……still there? The Wheelchair arc was dark, but I hope this new direction is more Batman and less Professor Charles Xavier. I also think she’s adorable and if I was 150 years younger and not married I’d ask her out for a soda pop. She’s a two picture deal for this article.TV Line article below does contain what may be spoilers so enter at your own risk
If you have not been watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D this season you have been missing out. The first half of the season was light on Inhumans jargon and heavy on Ghost Rider ,which made for a pretty damn good ride. It was Race car Ghost Rider and not Motorcycle Ghost rider but it was still pretty damn good(heavy on the damn today).
They have done a season split with the storylines this year and next up is the rise of the LMD(Strange Tales old school shout out). This was built up nicely on the back burner over the first half of the season and is kicking into high gear for the second half. Highly recommend you check it out if you have a chance.
Below is a nifty poster for the premiere on Jan.10th, featuring the lovely Ming Na-Wen who I can only assume made the same deal with the devil as Ghost Rider did to look as lovely as she does at the age of __(look it up).
