Ever gave any thought on how the age of the Knights of old came to an end? Well this humorous look at that may give you an idea why.
The good old days when woman had their own wrestling federation and could beat the crap out of each other. Well that was the idea.
I was into just starting to get back into wrestling when GLOW started up. I think I may have watched one show….I think. I do know that as much as knew that at the time the WWF was basically a male soap opera. I was not going to watch GLOW even for the ladies. So I can not even tell you what it was like, good or bad. But I can tell you that I am planning on watch the Netflix upcoming comedy series that takes a look at that time in wrestling history.
GLOW is premiering on Netflix June 23.
GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture perfect life is not what it seems. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling stardom.
Inspired by the short-lived, but beloved show from the 80s, GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom. GLOW is created by Liz Flahive (Homeland, Nurse Jackie) and Carly Mensch (Nurse Jackie, Orange Is The New Black, Weeds). Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann executive producers alongside Flahive and Mensch who are serving as showrunners.

Okay I have no idea what this about. Well a girl who is her own boss. Yeah I know your thinking it’s more than that and of course it is, duh. But it does look interesting. Interesting enough for this 55 year old white dude to watch.
Girlboss is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of the fashion brand Nasty Gal. The series centers on Amoruso (Britt Robertson), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay and, by the age of 27, had built the multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal.
Girlboss is created by and executive produced by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect 1& 2, 30 Rock), who also serves as showrunner. Charlize Theron (Monster, Young Adult), Laverne McKinnon and Beth Kono of Denver & Delilah, Christian Ditter (How to Be Single) and Sophia Amoruso will also serve as executive producers. This is a Netflix production and there will be 13-half hour episodes.

AMC trailer for the upcoming season of ‘Preacher’ hit the web and it looks so much fun.
If your a fan of the comic created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon yes the show does go in a bit of a different direction. Unless you are a stickler and have to have the series follow the books exactly, well don’t bother watching. Stay in the basement. But if you are not Season 2 is looks to be a very wild and entertaining adventure. Season 1 was more of a world building season. Now it looks like the show will kick into high gear.
Preacher follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is inhabited by the renegade spawn of an angel and demon and gains the power to control people with just a word. The series’ second season returns this summer and follows Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God, dealing with issues both worldly and other-worldly along the way.
Just watched Episode 18 of the Flash and now we’re on a 4 week hiatus until the next new episode on Apr.25th.That seems a long time to let this storyline simmer in my opinion. I’ve been hot and cold on this season so far, and I’m not sure if this long hiatus is going to give me time to find better shows or make me miss the Flash Gang.
WB dropped this new trailer before they left, and I’m pretty sure they just spilled a major secret that they have been teasing fans with all season. Unless of course it is just a Red Herring. Still, if you don’t want any clues to the identity of Savitar you should probably NOT watch the attached trailer and stop reading right now…..Thanks for the visit………………………………………………………………………………..Still there?…….last chance. Okay, on with the trailer.
Well, basically this trailer keeps teasing who Savitar is with a few cryptic statements from Cisco and Killer Frost and the appearance of a rather Emoish looking Barry Allen. “Your from before she dies, aren’t you?” dropped a few hints for me who Savitar is….but again, could be a Red Herring.
Guess we’ll find out on Apr.25th
