Netflix: ARQ Trailer

Netflix released a trailer and art work for the upcoming ARQ original movie premiering on Friday, September 16th worldwide on Netflix.

ARQIn a future where corporations battle against sovereign nations over the last of the world’s energy supplies, young engineer Renton and Hannah find themselves attempting to save an experimental energy technology that could end the wars. The catch is, the technology has created a time loop that causes them to relive a deadly home invasion over and over again. They must figure out how to stop the time loop and come out of it alive.

ARQ, starring Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Rachael Taylor (Jessica Jones) is a Netflix original film set in a dystopian society, written and directed by Tony Elliott (Orphan Black). The film is an official selection of the 2016 Toronto Film Festival.

Netflix New Series: Haters Back Off

Netflix release some images form the upcoming series: Haters Back Off. Haters Back Off  will premiere globally on October 14 at 12:01am PST exclusively on Netflix.

Based on the character created by Colleen Ballinger, Haters Back Off delves into the oddball family life of Miranda Sings. An incredibly confident, totally untalented star on the rise, Sings continues to fail upward by the power of her belief that she was born famous, it’s just no one knows it yet.

The series stars Colleen Ballinger as Miranda Sings, Steve Little (Eastbound & Down) as Miranda’s overly confident and utterly misguided Uncle Jim, Angela Kinsey (The Office) as Miranda’s mom, Bethany, and Erik Stocklin, as Miranda’s neighbor and best friend, Patrick.

Colleen Ballinger, Christopher Ballinger, Perry Rein, Gigi McCreery, Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry serve as an Executive Producers on the series and Haters Back Off is produced by Brightlight Pictures.

Mascots Trailer

Today Netflix released a trailer for the upcoming movie from  Christopher Guest, director of Waiting for Guffman,  Best in Show and A Mighty Wind.

Starring many of his regular troupe of actors, this latest film takes place in the ultra-competitive world of sports mascots where they compete for the most prestigious award in their field, the Gold Fluffy.

MascotsThe Netflix original film stars Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Ed Begley, Jr., Christopher Moynihan, Don Lake, Brad Williams, Zach Woods, Chris O’Dowd, Matt Griesser, Susan Yeagley, Sarah Baker, Tom Bennett, Kerry Godliman, Bob Balaban, Jennifer Coolidge, Michael Hitchcock, Maria Blasucci, John Michael Higgins, and Jim Piddock. The film was written by Christopher Guest and Jim Piddock and produced by Karen Murphy. Mascots will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, September 10 and will launch globally on Netflix on October 13, 2016.

Stranger Things 2 Coming In 2017

Today Netflix announced that Stranger Things 2 will be coming to Netflix in 2017. If you are not one of the many that have found this show and feel in love with it. You are one of few and are missing out on a fantastic show.  If you were a child of the 70’s or more of the 80’s, Stranger Things brings you back to those days in style, feel, look and sound. I highly recommend you that the time to watch the show.

Netflix had released a video of the announcement.

Writers/ creators Matt and Ross Duffer will return. Nine (9) new episodes are confirmed for the second season. Stranger Things 2 will be produced by 21 Laps for Netflix. Executive Producers Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and the Duffer Brothers will all return for the second season.

Netflix Releases Photos From “Black Mirror”

Today Netflix released some photos from the up coming series Black Mirror. If you are not aware of this series it is based on a British TV series from creator and writer Charlie Brooker. I highly recommend that you find this series and give it a watch.

The series has a modern day look and feel of the classic American series, The Twilight Zone. If you are a fan of that series you will love Black Mirror.

Netflix releases The Get Down clip, “Turn the Beat Around”

Today Netflix release a clip and a press release for the upcoming series “The Get Down” that premiers tomorrow on Netflix.

Set in New York in 1977, this music-driven drama series chronicles the rise of hip-hop and the last days of disco -– told through the lives, music, art and dance of the South Bronx kids who would change the world forever.

A new trailer for the up coming Netflix/Marvel series Luke Cage dropped and dam is it looking good. The trailer offers up some more of the action that we will see. Also you can catch a look at the wrist bracelets and head band that the character wears in the comics. The clips shows that Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) is in more of the show that what we may have believed. I am looking forward to this series just as much as I have for the other series, Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Expect Luke Cage to keep up the excellence the other series have started.

Marvel’s Luke Cage, which premieres globally on September 30, 2016 at 12:01am PT

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Mike Colter plays the charismatic lead character, Luke Cage and is joined by Mahershala Ali (Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (Shades), Frank Whaley (Rafael Scarfe) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).

Marvel’s Luke Cage is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (SouthLAnd, Ray Donovan), Charles Murray (Roots) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
