R.I.P.D.- Official Trailer

I for one have not heard a whole lot about this movie, R.I.P.D. Rest in Peace Department but the trailer sure looks fun.
The movie is about a recently deceased police officer Nick Walker played by Ryan Reynolds and his partner, Roy Pulsipher played by Jeff Bridges. They track down the deceased that have evaded judgement.
You will notice that this trailer looks and feels like a Men In Black movie. Is this good or bad for the movie? Depends if you just want to watch a movie and have fun or pick the shit out of it.
Take a look.

‘Star Trek’ Phaser Rifle

phaserRemember that Phaser rifle that Captain Kirk used in the episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before” from the original Star Trek. The episode was the second pilot that Gene Roddenberry showed to NBC and later edited for the show. Well that sucker just sold for auction for 231,00o at auction. The Phaser rifle was only expected to fetch around 50,000 at Hollywood Legend’s two day auction at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.

Also sold at the auction was the survey buggy from “Aliens” for 10,625.  Also Christopher Reeve’s Superman IV costume sold for 25,o00.

Star Trek: The Video Game

To promote the release of the new video game Star Trek: The Video Game, Namco Bandai games got together two old friends. William Shatner and the Gorn sit down in this funny ad. Set to be released in April just before the opening of the new Star Trek film, Star Trek Into Darkness. in the video game the Gorn look very different from the Gorn in the Star Trek series episode “Arena”. It is always good to see Shatner being Shatner.

Cheese

This animated short from 2009 uses Samuel L. Jackson’s monologue speech of Ezekiel_25.17 and music from the film Pulp Fiction. Ian Walters created this short using Blender 3D and according to Ian

“It took about 4 months worth of spare evenings and started off simply as an excuse to have another try at lip-sync. It just grew into a slightly more mammoth task!”

This is a cute little short and well worth a moment of your time.
