This one seems more personal. Jack Sparrow may have pissed off the wrong guy this time around. I like that. Also seems they are going a bit darker which I also approve of. Seems to be a more focused conflict then the last time around.
I didn’t see Keira Knightley or Orlando Bloom in the trailer so guessing they are not in this one. It does state that is the “beginning of an adventure” so this may be a two parter. Great to see Geoffery Rush back either way. I’ll probably regret saying this but as of right now I’m looking forward to seeing this.
Bah, you had to go there didn’t you?!?……. I suppose I should back up.
After the second trailer introduced the fact that Samuel L Jackson, John Goodman, Tom Hiddleston , John. C. Reilly and Brie Larson would all be sharing the screen my interest in this film rose greatly. This was going to be a hip Kong movie and some great dialogue. It was going to be funny and much better then I thought it was going to be.
This third and final trailer put me in the same spot as the first one did. Monkey see, Monkey do , monkey tell the story for you. Unless I’m missing some HUGE plot twist, I pretty much have seen Kong do everything I expected that he would do. They should have delved more into the backgrounds and interaction between the supporting characters instead of showing shot after shot of “Kong destroy”……that’s why I see it on the big screen. For that CGI.
In the vein of CGI action, I spotted what to me has become a cardinal sin in CGI action. Completely re-hashed scene from another movie …….except it’s from another King Kong movie!!!!!.Don’t believe me? Go to 2:03 – 2:05 of the below trailer. Then go to the trailer below that and go to 2:34……eerily alike. They are basically going to re- create the awesome classic T-Rex/King Kong scene they did in King Kong 2005.
I did enjoy the “music” created for this new trailer using guns being loaded. Creative, but not enough to cover the flaws for the trailer. Seeing WAY too much monkey
I’ll probably still end up going to see it in the theatre but the shines off this rose for now.
If you are to believe to all the reviews that have been out so far from the critics, Logan is finally the movie we have waiting for. Logan won’t be out until March 3, 2017 but with the advance reviews Logan is presently holding a 96% score at Rotten Tomatoes.
The film has been compared to a contemporary western. The film has been given a R-rating, thanks to Deadpool that showed a superhero movie with a R-rating can make a money and be a hit. The film is tracking to make $60 million on it’s opening weekend. According to Jackman this will be his final appearance as Wolverine a character that he has portrayed since he originated in 2000’s X-Men. There has been some rumors coming out that Hugh Jackman is having a hard time letting go of Logan. True or not it be nice to see him do it one more time. Hey Ryan think you can get him out for a quicky in ‘Deadpool 2’.
Again one of movie trailers making a Super Bowl appearance is the movie adaption of ‘Ghost in the Shell’. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. The first series was serialized in 1989. Ghost in the Shell is a story about a counter-cyberterrorist organization Public Security Section 9, led by Major Motoko Kusanagi. The story takes place in Japan in the mid-21 century.
A big controversy erupted with the casting of Scarlet Johansson in the lead role. To many it was another example of Hollywood’s white washing. Producer Steven Paul in a statement to Buzzfeed back in June 30th, 2016, hope that fans will be “very, very happy” with the film.
I think everybody is going to end up being really happy with it. They’re going to be very, very happy with it when they see what we’ve actually done with it, and I don’t think anybody’s going to be disappointed.
I love Scarlet Johansson and she has proven over and over again that she can do action. I am hoping that the people over Marvel finally get off their ass and make a ‘Black Widow’ movie
Here is the final trailer for Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. It’s being released Mar.17th, but I’m not sure that is such a great idea. It’s got a very” Christmasy”(Not a real word, and shame on me) feel to it with the snow and Victorian vibe . Would probably do better during the Christmas season.
That said, it is a live action Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and well…..he’s beast. There’s an actor there(actor Dan Stevens)but he’s simply….the beast. Rounding out the cast is the voices of(for most of the film anyway)Sir Ian McKellan, Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, Josh Gad and a whole host of others. It’s going to do just fine.
I do hope after this though they put the concept of Beauty and the Beast……back in the vault for many, many years.
I actually did not see the first “Lego Movie” but will watch after seeing the trailer for the new “Lego Batman Movie”. Pretty well all the jokes got a chuckle out of me, and it definitely seems original to me in content and execution. Cast includes Zach Galifianakis, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Ralph Fiennes and MR, Billy Dee Williams.
As if that’s not enough reason to check out the film, the pic above is an actual Batmobile – made out of 350,000 Lego piece that Chevrolet built for promotional purposes for the movie
I can’t believe I missed this. Resident Evil is out today. Now when your eyes come back down into your head from what might be a tremendous eye roll……bear in mind….This is the last one.
These series must be making money, otherwise they wouldn’t simply keep making them. It’s not like Milla Jovovich is sleeping with the director…………..she is married to the director…..it’s a totally….totally.. different thing.
Okay, I had my sargasm(sarcastic orgasm Copyright 2017).Let’s move on.
I just watched the trailer for this, and to be honest if your itching for a little apocalypse this weekend, this might not be too bad. I honestly never really had a problem with Milla Jovovichs acting in these films, and to be honest with the abundance of video game property failures that have been made in the last 10 years ,this is actually a success story.
I see Ali Carter is also back(huh?). One pleasant surprise was seeing Iain Glenn(Ser Jorah Mormont) back, as he’s just the type of actor that can bring good to a script simply by being in the film. Another pleasant surprise to see was model turned actress Ruby Rose is part of the story. She was in Seasons 3 & 4 of “Orange is the New Black” and did a wonderful job.
(Side note. On researching the rest of the cast I’ve come to the conclusion that actor Shawn Roberts has as much, if not more, “Zombie cred” as George Romero”. I counted 9 zombie films in his filmography)
If you can’t wait 3 weeks for TWD to start back up and need your fix at the end of the world. This may be for you.Enjoy
