Peter Capaldi Exiting Doctor Who

Well gang here we go again. Peter Capaldi has confirmed that he will be hanging up his sonic screwdriver after season. It seemed like only yesterday the Whovians were welcoming Peter in as the new Doctor. Like every Doctor before we welcome him in with nervous anticipation. The Whovians sat around the TV hoping that he wouldn’t screw up our Doctor. Also with every new regeneration we come to, over time to love our new Doctor.

Time seems to pass so fast and before we know it we once again have to learn to love and expect a new Doctor. If you are a fan of the show it can be painful to watch the old Doctor leave. But there is some excitement to see who will be our new Doctor Who.

I have really enjoyed Peter Capaldi rendition of the Doctor. Peter’s sometimes erratic, weird and at times bizarre moments were to me part of his charm. The scene where he has to use cue cards to help him reassure humans because he does not comfort them was awesome.

I could go on and on about Peter Capaldi portray of the man from Gallifrey. I will be sad when at the end of this season Peter regenerates into a new Doctor. But like all of you I will be sad to see Peter go. Again we will have to have to learn to love the new Doctor but we will. We have our favorites, our first Doctor, but we always run with him. To trust the Doctor with our lives. We will always jump into that blue box and travel with him.

Bryan Singer and the evolution of the X- Universe

The X-men are heading to TV. Their first show “Legion” is premiering Wednesday Feb.8th.Another untitled project has been ordered to pilot and will be probably airing at a later date.

I have been kind of underwhelmed with the movies over the last few years and welcome this chance to see the X-men in more of an atmosphere where they can tell a broader story, give more character development and slow down the pace of their stories a bit more. These shows should be FOX’s “Netflix”.

I had heard “Legion” was going to be a stand alone series and I think that is a terrible idea. Part of the magic of the Marvel movies is how they interconnected all these characters. To keep them separate limits the types of stories you can tell and what you can reference in those stories.

If they are able to bring success to these shows I could even see some of the X-men from the movies showing up on them as many of them have not had NEAR the big screen success afterwards that the Marvel actors have had.

Interview with “Logan” star Hugh Jackman and Director James Marigold

Patrick Stewart , according to Hugh Jackman, spends the first 30 minutes of the day having a tea and reading for 30 minutes. I do this myself(minus the tea) and highly recommend it to everyone. It’s gets your mind and imagination going and sets you for the day.

I’m probably more looking forward to this film than any other. From what I have seen so far it “humanizes” the characters and takes them away from the sometimes campiness that the X-men movies have .It also has LESS characters which to me is a huge plus. The last X- film had over 10 characters in it. How do you get any sense of development out of that type of dialogue split? Less is more sometimes.

From what I’ve read and heard about this venture they have given a great deal of detail and have given , to me, what are logical reasons behind these details. Professor X WOULD have grown out some hair in his old age as his mental capacity isn’t what it used to be. Logan would regrets after a lifetime of violence and stryfe.
