Buffy the Vampire Slayer……

…to be quite honest would be an excellent idea for a return IF…and I say IF Josh Whedon agreed to at least executive produce and direct a few episodes. I’m not sure you would need Sarah Michelle Gellar back for a reboot though it certainly would be nice for her to do some sort of cameo.

There were multiple reports that she and Josh Whedon weren’t the biggest fans of each other by the time filming ended on the original but time, and large sums of currency can usually heal all wounds.

The Dark Horse series was /is quite good so they do have an abundance of source material to take from should they decide to pick up the story again.

ALTERNA Comics does the Time Warp….

What a lovely  and brilliant idea all mixed into one. Basically this comic company is going to produce a line of comics that will feature”throwback style covers, a new logo, prices under $1.99 an issue, and the distant but familiar feel of newsprint.” It will feel like it just came out of a shop 30 years ago.

I have to admit I’ve not read any their work but I intend to change that very soon. I don’t usually like giving large amounts of quoted text but this warmed the Cockles of my heart.

Simeti not only aims to replicate the feel of yesteryear’s comic books, but also the pricing, “While most companies seem to be trying to out do each other with premium paper stocks and escalating price tags, we’re aiming to make comics affordable and bring back a practicality to single issues. We’re not in the business of making collectibles first and comics second.  These won’t be variant covers or variant issues, just basic comic books.  We’re happy to leave the premium paper stocks to our graphic novel line, which we will still be producing.  Right now, we’re aiming to launch this line with a few issues priced from $1 to $1.99, in Spring/Summer 2017.”

Why Didn’t Michael Keaton do “Batman Forever”?

“Not like I’m above it or I’m an artist, but maybe I’m enough of an artist to go I just don’t think I can do this without blowing my brains out.”

……..and that folks, Is my quote of the day.I heard before that Joel Schumacher was not a fan of the darkness surrounding the series and wanted to make it lighter.Little did he know he would help create the basturd love child that was Batman and Robin.Glad after all these years Michael Keaton can finally let it all out.

The Girl With All The Gifts

The Girl with all the GiftsGlenn Close AND Zombies!?!?…Take my money right now!!!.This film looks amazing and looks to be the best zombie based film to come out of Britain since 28 days later. It’s based on a book of the same name that I’ve yet to read. I HOPE they play as close to the book as possible as those usually turn out to be the best films.

I’m not numb to the zombie genre yet to be honest. I think you can tell some wonderful stories with great acting with that as a backdrop, but I have tired of some of the gore fests that have been put out for the sake of making money. I’ve dubbed it “Z-porn”.Made just for the sake of “nummy shot”.

Great little surprise this morning from the folks at Direct TV via Entertainment Weekly(waves).Enjoy.
