So Deadline is reporting that Chris Pratt is being eyed up to take over the role of Indian Jones. Chris Pratt is a hot property right this moment and this could be striking will the iron is hot kind of moment. But for the first time in a long time this is one reimagining of a property that does not piss me off one bit. Chris Pratt is a real good choice in my view. The guy is so dam likeable and has the screen presence to pull of being Indiana. The man looks like at this moment the guy to fill the fedora.

I’m cautioned that while things are very early, I hear the studio has set its sights on Chris Pratt as the swashbuckling archaeologist they hope to build the new franchise around, the role made famous by Harrison Ford in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Pratt jumped to leading-man movie status with his performance in last year’s blockbuster Guardians Of The Galaxy for Marvel and Disney. As the East Coast freezes and starts to dig out, Netflix figures it could use a little Wet Hot American Summer. The streaming service has unwrapped the first teaser for its upcoming series adapted from the 2001 summer-camp comedy. It doesn’t reveal much — other than a 15-star ensemble of folks who were in the 1981-set movie: Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, et al. And it’s all set to that “Higher & Higher” song from the flick. The eight-episode limited series arrives in the summer. Until then, here’s a taste.
