Robyn and Marian confront the Priest that has been capturing witches for the purpose of getting their souls. Robyn seems to have a issue with priest or maybe with religion as a whole. Robyn decides to confront the Priest on her own. Marian is not happy about this and gets the feeling that Robyn is becoming to over protective. The Priest escapes the battle and rest of the book is Robyn and Marian trying to fine out the next move of the Priest. This leads them to join the witches Roller Derby team, yes a roller derby time of witches in the hopes of finding the Priest. Now I am leaving a lot out to the book but if I give a detail telling of the book then way read it. I want you read this book.
Pat Shand does a good job of telling the story of witches and a demonic priest giving the reader enough info to keep you hooked but not giving to much away. In a hint that this book has a feel of Buffy writer Pat Shand gives a little wink to the series. I have to believe that Pat knows that the book has the feeling of the show Buffy. It is nice to see that he knows this and instead of hiding the fact he comes out saying “yes I know” so that the reader can move on with this book. Pat gives the book a good mix of story and action.
The art work by Claudia Balboni is good at times, very well done but saying that there are some weak moments. The fight scenes are well done with a great feel of movement.
The book across the board is well done and a fun read.
I give Robyn Hood #2 3.5 out of 5.
