Movie Monday: “The Legend of the Flying Tomato”

Hey Poppers

Welcome back to another exciting installment of Movie Monday. Okay some of you may not find it exciting but I hope that you enjoy some of the find small independent short films I bring. https://thepopculturecafe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=post

This week short film from Giñu Force is a fun and entertaining piece called, The Legend of the Flying Tomato. The film was created by the team of Michael Yates, Sharon Huang and Aurry Tan. I loved this short film. It reminded me of the old Looney Tune cartoons I grew up watching. The mad bull Luchador fighting against small but quick opponent.  I bet you can find that Looney Tune cartoon on YouTube. The film is slick and clean and beautifully done.

So take a few minutes, sit back and enjoy.

“Once a victim of bullying, Frida finds a hero in the legendary luchador El Pirana. However she finds herself at her lowest once more when she’s ridiculed during the biggest wrestling match of her life. Through an unexpected meeting with a mysterious taco salesman, Frida learns that she must find strength in herself to overcome her demons.”
