Grimm Fairy Tales hit the 100 mark with a bang. The Dark Queen is one artifact away from bringing the realms together. Sela and a group of the remaining Realm Knights are attempting one last attempt to stop her.

Grimm Fairy Tales 100 starts the end of one ark and begins another with a action pace leaping off point.

The story by writers Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco and artist Anthony Spay keep this book is light, meaning that with little back story I was able to understand what was going on. It was made clear easily and straight forward. Other writers out there can learn a lesson here. You don’t need a heavy recap to get your readers, old or new to understand what is going on. The dialogue is not heavy on unnecessary babble moves the story along in a quick but nice pacing. I could go and ahead and go into deep detail on the story but then why pick up the book if I do that.

Artist Anthony Spay is as good as any out there now a days. Anthony art style is clean not thick with unwanted detail. The action well pace and the movement in each panel does really give you the feel of action. Zenescope if famous for it’s strong female characters and Anthony keeps up that level of strong and beautiful woman.

Colors by Ivan Nunes are beautiful and bright. But dark and foreboding when necessary.

Screen Shot 2014-08-02 at 6.45.22 PMMy only problem, I can’t afford another book in my pull list. Dam you Zenescope.

So in the end I highly recommend you get this book. It is a good starting point if you have not read any of the ensuing issues.

I give Grimm Fairy Tales #100 a 4 pops out of 5.

Remember comics are to be enjoyed, Not destroyed.
