Godstorm: Age of Darkness is a epilogue to the Godstorm: Ascension series. The gods have been rocked by the events of Ascension.
I will not lie to you good readers I did not read Ascension but Godstorm: Age of Darkness did a great job filling me in on the events of the series. Zeus is dead but do Gods really die? This book sets you up for the upcoming events for the coming Age of Darkness series. Venus is back and along with Dark Horde plan to shake up the world of Gods and men.
Pat Shand does a great job of giving the reader idea of the story from GODSTORM/UNLEASHED/ASCENSION saga. The book is well written and easy to read, not heavy and I love that. My only problem is with the red inking in some of the word ballons. But that could be just me since my eyes are not what they use to be.
The art work by Noah Salonga and Andrea Meloni is strong and it reminds me of some of the comics art of of the 60’s and 70’s. The work is clean and does strain the eyes with over amount of back ground images.
If you need to find out what has happen, to catch up before Age Of Darkness then I recommend you getting this book.
So in the end I give Godstorm:Age of Darkness 3 1/2 out of 5
Remember comics are to be enjoyed. Not destroyed.
